10 weeks of Christmas preparations - week 6

jul

Now we are already in the middle of November, and I feel that I am well on track with my Christmas preparations. Many Christmas presents are ready to be wrapped, and the Christmas cards are in boxes. Pleasant pursuits such as wrapping presents and writing Christmas cards, I wait a bit.

Yesterday there were exactly two weeks left until the 1st Sunday in Advent, so this week I will focus on getting my Advent decorations ready.

Weekly tasks:

1. Buy candles and tealights
Advent and Christmas are high season for the use of candles. Buy what you need for tealights and candles now, and you'll have one less thing to think about when December comes. Remember purple candles for the Advent stake. There are so many delicious things in the shops now.

2. Check light bulbs
It is a good idea to check the bulbs in the Advent stake and the Advent star this week here; buy bulbs if needed. And at the same time, it's a good idea to check the Christmas tree lighting, to see if new bulbs are needed there, too. Also remember the outdoor lighting, if you are going to have it.

3. Buy or make some Christmas presents
Buy or make some Christmas presents this week here, too. Now we are soon in port with the "regulars" on the Christmas gift list.

Good luck with the week's tasks!

Tip of the week:
Do you want to document your Christmas preparations? Take care of the Christmas memories by making a small December diary, where you can write a little and paste in pictures from the Advent season.

Take a notebook you already have lying around and decorate it with Christmas paper and ornaments, or use a narrow ring binder and insert a sheet of cardboard for each day. Then you can make a small Christmas album, with as many or as few pages as you wish.

Take care of your memories, the way you want.

Did you get these with you?
