10 weeks of Christmas preparations - week 3
Marit Moen

Happy Monday! Have you ticked off a few more gifts on your list now? I am well underway with my lists. True to tradition, I have also found a Christmas stocking that I am embroidering on. I have worked on it a little every autumn for the past few years, and now I am getting close to finishing it. It's nice to embroider a little on it every evening, now that the evenings are getting darker and darker. Weekly tasks: 1. Christmas card photography If you are going to use a Christmas card with your own Christmas picture, then the...
10 weeks of Christmas preparations - week 2
Marit Moen

Now it's a new week and new opportunities again. Did you start your preparations last week? My lists are ready, and written in the Christmas book. I tackled the to-do list, and the list of Christmas presents and Christmas cards. I always start from the Christmas cards I received last year, and write down the names of those I received cards from. Then I will add those we had to get Christmas cards from this year, gradually. My Christmas gift list is the same way. I write down all the "regulars"; family and friends to whom we usually give gifts....
Scrapbooking through the years
Marit Moen

Wondering how scrapbooking has changed over the years? It's a hobby with trends, like any other hobby. Popular products and techniques come and go, and the hobby is constantly evolving, but at the bottom lies the desire to take care of our memories. Christmas already, you might think. Huff and huff. But no, I don't start Christmas early in October. I just have a philosophy about reducing all the stress that usually comes with the run-up to Christmas. I happily prioritize it away in favor of Advent shoes with my girls. 17 years ago I started my 10 weeks of Christmas preparations on the pink forum. Many of you know these weeks from before, while some of you will wonder what this is all about. The reason was that I couldn't take the Christmas stress anymore. I still remember that little Christmas Eve...
Decorated chocolate bar
Marit Moen

Are you going to give a chocolate bar to someone for Christmas? Then I have a Christmas gift tip for you! Instead of wrapping a chocolate bar in gift wrap, you can also decorate it with patterned papers and decorate it, just like you do on a scrap page or a card. 😍🎁🎄 The paper covering the chocolate bar is 12x7 inches. So you need a little more than half a 12x12 sheet to start with. I stapled the ends together to make them sit nicely. The star on top is made by finishing 3/4 of a regular folded paper...
